Hey guys, what's up ? It's Bluey656 back here on Technoshock and I apologize as I was inactive since a long time now, it was all because of my exams and school work but hey, I am back with the Weekly Top Tech News, and here it goes :-


WEEKLY TOP TECH NEWS #2 (1st October, 2016.) :-



1) Google's 'Andromeda' to merge Chrome OS and Android ? :- 

Reportedly, Google is working on a new Pixel laptop which will run on a new OS that merges Android and Chrome OS. The device is internally known by the codename 'Bison' or 'Pixel 3'. This device is going to be released in Q3 2017.

2) GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti :-

According to some leaks, Nvidia's GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti will be launched next month. The 2GB GeForce GTX 1050 will have a CUDA core count of 640 with a base/boost core clock speed of 1354/1455 MHz. The more powerful one that is the 4GB GeForce GTX 1050 Ti will have a CUDA core count of 768 with a base/boost of core clock speed of 1290/1382 MHz. Both of the cards will use GDDR5 RAM connected via a 128-bit interface and have a 75W TDP. A chinese site published a GPU-Z Screenshot revealing the key specifications which are as follows :-

3) Germany Denies Facebook ? :-

Recently, Facebook has been ordered to stop collecting and storing data on Whatsapp users in Germany. Facebook announced in August that it would be collecting and storing some data from the app. However, now, that data sharing system has been challenged by a regulatory authority. Facebook has been ordered to destroy all the date that has been shared.

Other regulators, like France's CNIL are also looking into the data sharing setup.

4) Razer's new DeathAdder Elite Gaming Mouse :-

Razer's new gaming mouse is said to be the best-specced gaming mouse available today on the planet with having amazing specs like 16,000 DPI, 450 IPS and 50G acceleration. This is the Razer DeathAdder Elite. Razer claims that this mouse is the fastest, most sensitive , the most accurate gaming mouse available today and has a resolution accuracy of 99.4 percent. Razer further adds that it has mechanical mouse switches optimized for the fastest response times. The mouse is currently available for pre-order now at $69.99.

5) GTA Online's next expansion :-

Rockstar Games have announced that the next addition to GTA Online will be a Biker's DLC which has been the most requested and the most waited DLC that fans have been wanting since a very long time. This DLC will allow you to create and lead your very own Motorcycle Club upto 8 players. This DLC will also include new clothing, bikes, custom biker mechanic and venues.

6) Android Wear 2.0 Delayed :-

Unfortunately, we won't be seeing Google's next Android Smartwatch platform, the Android Wear 2.0 this year. It was set to be launch in this year's fall but now it is delayed to sometime in early 2017 and Google decided to extend the developer preview program for Android Wear 2.0 by releasing the third preview of the platform for developers instead of releasing it this year. It's sad to see this delay as we all can't wait for the 'Play Store' in Android Wear 2.0.

7) No Man's Sky Under Investigation :-

UK's Advertising Standard Authorityis investigating whether Hello Games misled their customers with online screenshots, videos and descriptions of the game that don't match with the final product which the customers received. This includes complaints about animal and ship behavior, gameplay scale, interface changes, load times and overall graphical quality. Hello Games and Valve have reportedly been asked to respond to a number of questions surrounding that online marketing.

8) Nvidia's new Xavier SoC :-

Nvidia launched a system-on-a-chip called Xavier at the GPU Technology Conference Europe. It manages 20 trillion operations per second while it only uses 20 watts of power. Xavier is designed to be used as an AI brain for use in self-driving cars.

9) Blackberry to stop making smartphones :-

Blackberry said on this Wednesday that it will stop internal development of smartphones. This is most probably because it wasn't able to keep up in this intense competition between the companies to produce smartphones. "The company plans to end all internal hardware development and will outsource that function to partners," said the CEO of Blackberry, John Chen, followed by "This allows us to reduce capital requirements and enhance return on invested capital.". The company is reported to focus more on softwares now.

10) Amazon Game Studies announce 3 brand new PC Games :-

Amazong revealed three new games at TwitchCon earlier in this week. Amazon announced it's intention to make games a few years ago and finally they are going to do it. The three games are Crucible, Breakaway and New World.

(i) Breakaway :-

Breakaway is a 4v4 team based brawler action game. It includes a full Twitch integration and why will it not ? Amazon owns Twitch anyway.

(ii) Crucible :-

Crucible is a 6v6 third person shooter. This is a last man standing style game puts players against one another in a battle for survival on an alien planet. The heroes can be customized with different abilities. This game also includes a full Twitch integration.

(iii) New World :- 

New World is an open-ended, sandbox MMO set in a fictional 17th century colonial America. There's not much information on the game or the game's world yet but the game world is said to transform with the changing of seasons, weather and time of day.
